What is the nicest suburb of Columbus, Ohio?

Have you ever tried to pick just one favorite flavor of ice cream? It’s almost impossible, right? That is exactly what it feels like trying to pick the "nicest" suburb in Columbus.

Since we started helping people move around Columbus and Cincinnati in 2020, we have seen so many beautiful neighborhoods. Every area has its own special vibe. But if you force us to choose the ones that always make people say "Wow," three spots stand out from the rest.

Are you curious to see which ones made our list? Let's take a look!

Do you love excitement and modern vibes?

You might belong in Dublin.

If you want a town that feels like it has everything, Dublin is hard to beat. It is famous for the Dublin Irish Festival, which is one of the biggest Irish festivals in the world. But there is so much more than just a party once a year.

Have you heard of Bridge Park? It is this amazing area with fancy restaurants, fun arcades, and a really cool walking bridge that goes right over the river. It feels big and exciting, but the neighborhoods nearby are quiet and peaceful.

Fun Local Fact: Dublin has a field with 109 giant ears of concrete corn. Yes, really! It’s called the "Field of Corn," and it is a great spot for a funny selfie.

Do you dream of picture-perfect streets?

New Albany could be your match.

Have you ever driven through a town and felt like you were in a movie? That is New Albany. almost every house has a beautiful red brick style, and you will see miles of perfect white fences lining the roads. It looks very fancy and organized.

People here love the leisure trails. There are over 50 miles of paths where you can walk, run, or bike without worrying about cars. It is very relaxing. It feels a little like living in the English countryside, but with amazing schools and great shopping nearby.

Fun Local Fact: New Albany was planned out very carefully. That is why the white fences and the houses all look so good together. It wasn't an accident!

Do you want history and charm close to the city?

Upper Arlington is calling your name.

We call it "U.A." for short. This is the spot for people who want big, beautiful trees and houses that don't all look the same. Some parts of Upper Arlington, especially the area "South of Lane," have older homes with so much character.

The community spirit here is huge. The 4th of July Parade in Upper Arlington is legendary. People put their chairs out on the lawns days in advance just to save a spot! Plus, you are super close to Downtown Columbus and The Ohio State University, so your commute is usually a breeze.

Fun Local Fact: Golf legend Jack Nicklaus went to high school here. The school mascot is the Golden Bear, just like him!

So, which one is actually the nicest?

This is the hard part!

  • If you want fun and new, you might pick Dublin.

  • If you want elegant and peaceful, you might pick New Albany.

  • If you want charming and classic, you might pick Upper Arlington.

The "nicest" suburb is really just the one that feels like home to you.
